Microcentrifuge with multipurpose capabilities. The unique cross-over Eppendorf model 5430 microcentrifuge combines the best features of a microcentrifuge (small footprint) and multipurpose centrifuge (versatility) in one instrument. These centrifuges spin rotors for Eppendorf microcentrifuge tubes and PCR tubes and PCR strips as you would expect from any microcentrifuge.
But that’s not all. In a compact size, the Eppendorf Model 5430 microcentrifuge also accommodates a fixed-angle rotor for 15mL and 50mL conical centrifuge tubes, Vacutainer® tubes and 10mL to 50mL size Nalgene OakRidge centrifuge tubes, cryo tubes and HPLC vials. This microcentrifuge also accomodates a swingbucket rotor for microtiter plates (MTP) and PCR plates. Until now, this has only been possible with large multipurpose centrifuges.
