This 2.0mL Eppendorf® PCR Clean® Safe-Lock® polypropylene microcentrifuge tube is clean room manufactured using automated processes. Applications include PCR and other molecular biology methods. PCR Clean® microcentrifuge tube is free of human DNA and PCR inhibitors, and is also DNase- and RNase-free. The tube is lab certified and includes a certificate of analysis with each package. Each PCR Clean® microcentrifuge tube has a patented hinged lid that eliminates any danger of leaks, ensuring absolute safety when working with expensive or toxic samples, radioactive substances, or DNA. The hinged lid features a small hook that clips around the rim of the test tube to prevent the tube from opening accidentally (e.g. during temperature control processes), though it can be easily opened using just one hand. The tube can be used in a temperature range from -80°C to +100°C (tube lid is more likely to pop open at temperatures greater than 95°C), and can be autoclaved when open at 121°C for 20 minutes to sterilize. The tube also has volume graduations and frosted labeling surfaces. It is rated up to 25,000 x g for excellent mechanical stability during centrifugation. The tube can be used in a temperature range from -80°C to +100°C. It conforms to the 'Olefin polymers' specifications of FDA regulation 21 CFR § 177,1520. Life expectancy of the Safe-Lock® microcentrifuge tube is at least 5 years at a storage temperature of +5 to +35°C. Autoclavable. Clean-room manufactured. DNase- and RNase-free. Material: Polypropylene. Tube Size: 2.0mL. Color: Clear. Temperature Range: -80°C to +100°C. Eppendorf® #: 022363344.
